For the answer:

We number the solutions 1, 2, 3, …., 27, and explain how to count them.

We start with triangles pointing up.

We look at the number of links in their bases.

1 has 4 links

2, 3, and 4 have three links

5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 have 2 links

11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, and 20 have one link

Now we look at triangles pointing down.

21 has 2 links

22, 23, 24, 25, 26, and 27 have one link.
